I am teaching this workshop again in May and June of 2019; here‘s the flyer.
The teachings in this workshop are central to the heart of my practice. I am passionate about helping clients grow their emotional intelligence and become truly authentic in their communication. I have put together in one workshop, the very best of the best; all of the essential knowledge, tools and skills that have helped decades of clients practice, gain confidence and succeed at home and in the workplace.
Here is the description used by Blue Cross Blue Shield Association:
In this workshop you will gain a deeper understanding and be given tools that can improve and very possibly transform your personal and professional relationships. Communication is an essential part of everyday life yet very few people have developed the skills and best practices necessary to be consistently heard and understood. Communication is actually one component of Emotional Intelligence or EQ, and studies confirm that EQ is an even greater determiner of success and happiness at work and in life than IQ. This class will focus on the 4 competencies of EQ and how communication weaves through them all. The information gained will provide the essential building blocks for reviewing and upgrading your understanding of communication in its larger context. Using the tools to practice post-class is important to developing skill and competency. This interactive day will be filled with teaching, story-telling, personal reflection and group interaction. Bring your experiences of what works and doesn’t work for you and be ready for some self-discovery.
You will learn:
The personal and professional relevance of authentic communication.
The differences between communication, effective communication and authentic communication.
The key factors that block and support open interaction.
How to chart the course to effective and authentic communication in all relationships.
The four intelligences with an emphasis on the essential elements of emotional intelligence, EQ.
Why self-awareness is the cornerstone of EQ.
Basic conflict management styles and what it takes to get to win-win.
A simple tool to set your tone for successful outcomes in daily interactions.
In this 4-hour workshop (PDF flyer), you will be guided through a step-by-step process to discover your top five passions. These are clues that can help you unlock the door to your purpose in life. You will also discover how to create and live your life in alignment with your deepest passions.
This seminar is based on the book The Passion Test: The Effortless Path to Discovering your Destiny by Janet Bray Attwood and Chris Attwood. I have taken the test and am a certified Passion Test facilitator.
Here are some testimonials to The Passion Test’s simplicity and the depth of its impact.
“The Passion Test has given me incredible insight into what was missing in my life, where I was not 100 percent spot-on in pursuing my passions.
It’s simple, it’s easy, and it’s profound. Out of it came the creation of an organization I’d been putting off for six years and a
fuller expression of my love and my commitment to my family. I think there’s nothing more important than that.”
— Jack Canfield, co-creator of #1 New York Times best-selling series, Chicken Soup for the Soul.
“The Passion Test provides a clear, simple, and effective method to help you identify your core passions so you can create the fulfilling life you deserve.”
— John Gray, Ph.D. #1 New York Times best-selling author of Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus.
